Description:

This project is a new mixed-use development located in Astoria, NYC.  The main focus of this design is to create a new relationship between the interior and exterior space. An outdoor garden is placed on the fourth floor along with a shed, located in the upper level of the building, which protects the outdoor space from the sun and rain. The garden will provide tenants a pleasant space for parties and other activities in the future. The empty space also acts as an active variation to the surrounding neighborhood, both visually and spatially.
